En la educaci\u00f3n, como en todas las materias, estos alumnos tienen necesidades espec\u00edficas. Estas necesidades no suelen cubrirse debido a la falta de formaci\u00f3n de los profesores y a la gran variedad de enfermedades raras. La informaci\u00f3n recogida en el cuestionario enviado a los profesores de La Mancha (Castilla-Espa\u00f1a) mostr\u00f3 que, a pesar del deseo de incluir a los alumnos con enfermedades raras, en general los profesores carec\u00edan de conocimientos m\u00ednimos sobre sus necesidades espec\u00edficas. Estos resultados muestran que se necesitan recursos y formaci\u00f3n espec\u00edficos para dar respuestas educativas individualizadas.
